Hydrosphere India offers all the three most popular desalination technologies, which are MSF (Multi-Stage Flash), MED (Multi-Effect Distillation) and RO (Reverse Osmosis), and has proven supply records in all these areas.
In MSF (Multi-Stage Flash) method, sea water flows through a multi-level heat exchange system, which is then heated with steam from power generating plant until evaporation, and is condensed on outside of pipes through which cold seawater flows. This method is used in large capacity desalination plants.
MED (Multi-Effect Distillation) is similar to MSF, but only uses of devices called "Effect" instead of "Stage" from MSF. The MED method has benefit of reducing energy consumption if applied with dump heat, and is used for medium-capacity desalination plants.
It is significant for customers in water-scarce areas to achieve and maintain low operating costs. Our Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) series packages systems easily meet these needs while optimizing operating costs. These systems cover a range of applications, including boiler feed water make-up, irrigation water, plant process water, and small community potable water demand. For those applications which have challenging feed water, these systems offer ultra filtration and reverse osmosis both to maintain the quantity and quality of water required.
